Granted the 2012-13 NHL season was shortened because of the lockout, but last season the Avs only won 16 games. The Avs are in a new division, the central division in the Western Conference with teams such as the Chicago Blackhawks, St Louis Blues, Minnesota Wild, Dallas Stars, Nashville Predators, and Winnipeg Jets.

The Denver Broncos started the season at 6-0 before going to the Indianapolis Colts and losing 39-33. They rebounded back by crushing the Washington Redskins 45-21. This weekend ( week 9 ) the Denver Broncos had a bye week which is much needed as the injuries have piled up. Also, in unfortunate news, Denver Broncos head coach John Fox is hospitalized and will have heart surgery either Monday or Tuesday and will be off the sidelines for 4-6 weeks. Jack Del Rio will be the interim head coach. The Denver Broncos are starting to get into the majority of their division schedule with a current record of 7-1.

To less exciting news, if you're expecting the Denver Nuggets to go to the NBA Playoffs, sorry, but this won't be the Denver Nuggets year. They've started off at 0-2, and lost their home opener at the Pepsi Center to a division rival, the Portland Trail Blazers by 15 points.
