RIP NHL, November 1917 to November 2012

Today the NHL announced they were ending the league. On the same day Vince McMahon announced he was starting the XHL...

Only kidding, slightly... The NHL announced today they were canceling the Winter Classic which is the NHL's Super Bowl. We here at Tickets Day believe this will lead to the NHL's second full season lockout in 8 years. With the NHL still trying to recover from it's last full season lockout in the 2004-05, this will hurt the NHL even more. Most casual fans don't even know the NHL is locked out. When the NBA and NFL had their lockouts, everyone knew, it was constantly in the news.. With this NHL lockout, not a whole lot of people know about, nor do they really care. The NHL had several years to go before they fully recovered from their last lockout.

Warning * We are biased and sometimes critical of our sports teams, we're big fans of the Denver Broncos, Nuggets, Colorado Rockies, and Colorado State Rams. Heck, while I'm at it, I'm going to throw out a few predictions now...
Denver Broncos will make it to at least the AFC championship game.
Denver Nuggets will fall short to the Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Finals in the 2012-13 season
Colorado Rockies.... Ouch.... I will just say they will make an appearance in 81 games in 2013, and only 81 games.. But hey, at least Coors Field is one of the nicest ballparks..
